The COE is considered the gold standard in annual financial reporting. The district received its most recent COE based on the review of its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ending in June 30, 2020.

Award winners must meet more than 40 fiscal standards to earn the COE. A team of financial professionals reviewed detailed statements reflecting the district’s summary of revenues, expenses and changes in fund balances, ratios of outstanding debt, and statements of cash flow to determine if award criteria was met.
