Following record job losses due to the Pandemic, MoneyGeek’s rankings analyze job and wage growth, job competition, and housing affordability to find the cities best for job seekers.

Summary Findings:

• Cities across America have still not fully recovered from pandemic job losses despite continued re-opening. Birmingham, AL and Salt Lake City, UT lead the recovery with employment just 1% below pre-pandemic levels.
• The cities with the least recovered jobs Hartford, CT, New York, NY, and Orlando, FL remain 10% below February 2020 job levels.
• Major metros on the coast continue to suffer from challenging housing affordability Riverside, CA, Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY, Miami, FL, and San Diego, CA have the worst housing affordability in the nation.
