Feeding Northeast Florida (FNEFL) will host a sort-a-thon event to create “snack packs” of food that will be distributed to children experiencing hunger during the summer months while school is out. The event will be held on June 9, 2021 at the Police Athletic League of Jacksonville (PAL).
The snack packs created during the sort-a-thon will be distributed for free throughout the summer at various food distribution locations around the city including PAL, Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Florida, and Girls, Inc. Feeding Northeast Florida aims to ease the burden for children and families who rely on free and reduced meals provided through school during summer break.
