Jewish Federation of Jacksonville Rebranded
Organization name change aims to elevate regional presence and foster greater engagement
JACKSONVILLE, FL (September 27, 2019) – The Jewish Federation of Jacksonville today announced it has changed its name to the Jewish Federation & Foundation of Northeast Florida – celebrating a major milestone since the Jewish Federation of Jacksonville and the Jewish Community Foundation of Northeast Florida merged in January 2018.
“For more than 80 years, the Federation has served as the hub for the Jewish community in Jacksonville,” said Alan Margolies, executive director for the Jewish Federation & Foundation of Northeast Florida. “As we celebrate a new era for the organization, our new name and logo serves as a testament to the collaborative partnership we’ve fostered with the Foundation - collectively, we are proud to offer sustainable financial support for our partner organizations for years to come.”
Through the collaborative partnership, the newly formed Jewish Federation & Foundation of Northeast Florida aims to serve, to inspire, to connect and to galvanize the area’s growing Jewish population, further extending its reach and programming to a wider regional audience, which includes St. Johns County, St. Augustine, Nassau County, Orange Park, Nocatee, and the Beaches. Today, the Jewish Federation & Foundation of Northeast Florida serves more than 17,000 Jewish community members throughout the Greater Jacksonville area, in addition to funding partner agencies overseas.
