LifeSouth And Baptist Medical Center Beaches Hosting Community Blood Drive

June 17, 2021

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers and Baptist Medical Center Beaches will host a community blood drive on June 17-18, 2021. All blood types are needed, though LifeSouth is currently in emergency need of type O blood. All eligible blood donors are encouraged to attend this two-day drive to support the local blood supply. All donors will receive a limited-edition T-shirt, gift card and health screening.

WHEN:

Thursday, June 17 and Friday, June 18

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (both days)

WHERE:

Baptist Medical Center Beaches

1350 13th Avenue South

Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250

LifeSouth’s bloodmobile will be parked in the parking lot near the surgery entrance.

WHY:

LifeSouth is the blood provider for Baptist Health. The nonprofit blood bank, like many around the nation, typically sees a decline in donations during the summer. This blood drive will provide an opportunity for residents of the Beaches communities to donate close to home, which is where their donations will stay.
