Memorial Hospital Of Jacksonville's Chief Nursing Officer Announces Retirement

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville’s Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Mary Reval, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, will be retiring on August 31st, 2021, after 37 years in nursing.

“We are thankful for all of her contributions as a seasoned nurse leader who has brought a wealth of experience and talent to benefit our staff, patients and families,” said Memorial Hospital CEO, Bradley S. Talbert, FACHE. “Mary’s philosophy of being inspired daily to wake up each morning to make a difference and appreciate life has touched us all.”

Reval started as a Medical/Surgical Cardiac nurse then moved into Critical Care nursing before advancing into leadership roles. Reval has served as Memorial Hospital’s CNO since September 2017 and actually started her career with HCA Healthcare at Memorial Hospital back in 2004, before serving as the CNO at Specialty Hospital Jacksonville from 2008-2011.

She then moved to West Marion Community Hospital in Ocala from 2011-2014 and Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City from 2014-2017. Reval completed her Doctor’s in Nursing Practice (DNP) in August 2018 shortly after joining Memorial.

Reval will leave her administrative mark through many accomplishments including being an influential mentor to multiple previous Assistant CNO’s who have all become current CNOs within HCA Healthcare.

She will retire here in Jacksonville to enjoy boating and jet skiing with her husband of 37 years, Craig Reval, their four daughters and three grandchildren.
