Suspicious Package Deemed Safe: Jacksonville Sheriff's Office
Streets were temporarily blocked around a police station in Jacksonville due to an investigation, authorities said.
JACKSONVILLE, FL — A suspicious package temporarily blocked roads around the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on East Bay Street Monday morning, officials said. Authorities advised drivers of roadblocks after 9 a.m. on Monday, July 29.
Streets around the police station at 501 East Bay Street were closed as a precaution after a suspicious package was found in the area, officials said.
After 9:30 a.m., the sheriff's office reported the area had reopened.

"We have been given the all clear at the police station, and the suspicious package was not deemed to be anything of concern," the Jacksonville County Sheriff's Office reported.
