36-Year-Old Inverness Man Dies In Fiery Crash On U.S. 98
A 36-year-old man from Inverness was killed and a 22-year-old woman was seriously injured.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — A 36-year-old man from Inverness was killed and a 22-year-old woman was seriously injured after an SUV he was driving turned into the path of a pickup truck and caught fire on U.S. 98 Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Around 8:15 p.m., the SUV was traveling north on U.S. 98 toward Station Hall Road. The vehicle entered the path of a pickup truck heading south, collided and caught fire. Authorities do not know why the SUV crossed into the path of the pickup.
