4th Annual Summer Camp Expo Set March 28

The 2020 expo showcases a smorgasbord of summer enrichment opportunities.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Family-Friendly Tampa Bay, the Bay Area’s first Pasco/New Tampa Summer Camp Expo source, announces the 2020 Summer Camp Expo Pasco/New Tampa Edition presented by Academy at the Lakes. The event will be held at AdventHealth Center Ice Wesley chapel in Wesley Chapel, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Early admission at 9:30 a.m. for families with special needs so they can explore camps with less traffic.

Admission is free to the Expo. Attendees can register for their free ticket on FamilyFriendlyTampaBay.com

Expo Activity Highlights:

  • Summer Camps for K-12, including Special needs camps
  • Early Admission for families with special needs at 9:30 am
  • Door prizes for the first 200 families
  • Family-Friendly businesses and attractions onsite
  • Kids Fun Zone with bounce houses, hockey & golf area, photo booth, face painting, balloon animals
  • Easter Scavenger Hunt & photo with the Easter Bunny
  • Crafts, giveaways, and so much more.

Expo goers can strike up one-on-one conversations with summer camp experts. Providers from over forty camps will be at the Expo to discuss and demonstrate camp activities. From adventure, to stem, from academic to sports, from technology to theatre there are a diversity of camps for all ages and interests.

“Families can also launch summer adventures at the Expo by visiting with summer-fun destination experts. Expo events will also include stage performances by Mr. Tommy, New Tampa Players Penguin Project that includes performances by students with special needs, martial arts presentations, and a free craft for kids and many more fun activities.

“Summer camps have a trans-formative power,” Cook said, “Camps help kids take positive risks, camps help kids gain exposure to new interests, and camps can help kids delve deeper into a subject enjoyed at school.”

Now in its fifth year serving families in Tampa Bay, Family Friendly Tampa Bay furnishes families with budget-friendly events, deals, and valuable resources to help families spend time together. The site is tailored for visitors and residents to explore Tampa Bay on a budget.

Academy at the Lakes serves students in PreK3 through High School in a warm community, preparing them for college and for life. Serving families throughout the North Tampa, Pasco County area. “We celebrate the love of learning and the joy in the journey.
