Bomb Threat Prompts Area Walmart Evacuation

Someone called the Walmart at 2:05 p.m. Sunday and said a bomb was inside, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.

Update 4:18 p.m. June 9: The sheriff's office has given an all-clear and says no explosives were found inside the store.

Earlier:

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Deputies evacuated the Walmart located at 8220 N. Dale Mabry Highway in response to a bomb threat on Sunday afternoon.

The store was evacuated as part of standard procedure. Deputies are conducting a sweep of the store looking for suspicious packages.
