Bomb Threat Prompts Area Walmart Evacuation

Update 4:18 p.m. June 9: The sheriff's office has given an all-clear and says no explosives were found inside the store.

Earlier:

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Deputies evacuated the Walmart located at 8220 N. Dale Mabry Highway in response to a bomb threat on Sunday afternoon.

Someone called the store at 2:05 p.m. and said a bomb was inside, according to a sheriff's office spokesperson.

The store was evacuated as part of standard procedure. Deputies are conducting a sweep of the store looking for suspicious packages.

The store will remain closed until the search is completed.
