Bubba's 33 is building its first Florida restaurant in Pasco County.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — With a shovelful of dirt, Pasco County Commissioner Mike Moore, Bubba's 33 managing partner Jeff Dean and North Tampa Chamber of Commerce President Hope Allen made it official. Bubba's 33 is building its first Florida restaurant in Pasco County.

The groundbreaking Monday signals the start of construction on the 7,199-square-foot restaurant at 26340 Silver Maple Parkway in Bay at Cypress Creek development off State Road 56, east of Interstate 75.

The restaurant, an affiliate of the Texas Roadhouse chain, will be located next to the existing Texas Roadhouse.

Bubba’s 33 was formed five years ago by Kent Taylor, founder of Texas Roadhouse. It’s a Louisville-based company.

The sports-themed will feature a family dining section as well as a garage bar. Games can be watched on big-screen TVs located throughout the eatery and bar.
