Coffeehouse Offers Open Mic Night

Many think of Friday nights as a time to unwind. The folks at Organic Life Coffeehouse and Bakery think it's a perfect time to perk up.

On Friday nights, the Lutz coffee shop is hosting a live music and open mic night for patrons. The idea is to grab a cup of Joe, or something more mellow like tea if you prefer and enjoy the sounds.

Many of the performers are Christian based musicians, but singers, guitarist and comedians have performed.

"This has quickly become our most popular night and has attracted some of the areas most talented musicians," according to a statement on the coffee house's website. "Whether you are new to music or have been playing for years this is a perfect place for you to come show off your talents."

The Friday Night Open Mic takes place each Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Organic Life Coffee House & Bakery, located at 1900 Oak Grove Blvd in Lutz.
