Florida Hospital, Tampa Bay Lightning Team Up To Beat The Heat

Florida Hospital and the Tampa Bay Lightning are partnering for the second annual Beat the Heat at Florida Hospital Center Ice on Sunday.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL -- Florida Hospital and the Tampa Bay Lightning are partnering for the second annual Beat the Heat at Florida Hospital Center Ice from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. p.m. Sunday, July 29.

The event at 3173 Cypress Ridge Blvd., Wesley Chapel, is free and open to the public. Due to rink size and limited availability, participants should register for their ice skating sessions by clicking here.

Beat the Heat is a fun-filled day of interactive games, free giveaways, the sport of curling and free ice skating for all skill levels. The event will feature appearances from the official Lightning mascot, ThunderBug, and Lightning alumni.

In addition to traditional on-ice hockey activities, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in high-performance skills training demos and stick-handling drills.
