The new attraction is based around the fictitious Ravenhill Asylum, which was forced to close its doors in 1993 due negligent management practices. The asylum was ordered to find “suitable accommodations” for its remaining patients. However, chief psychiatrist Dr. Monroe feared the illegal treatments he used on his patients would be discovered if they were transferred, so he ordered the asylum sealed with the remaining patients inside.
In addition to the haunted venues, Scream-A-Geddon will once again offer its Monster Midway with a variety of thrill rides and carnival games; Bonzo's Beer Garden, offering an assortment of beer and wine; fair-style grilled and fried foods accompanied by hot and cold drinks; fire pits to set the mood; Zombie Paint Ball (available for an additional charge); a gift shop with Scream-A-Geddon-branded merchandise; and Scream-A-Geddon souvenir photo spots.
