Gluten-Free Friendly Restaurants Near Lutz

More than 1 in 133 people suffer from gulten allergies, according to researchers. Gluten is a protein complex found in many grains and oats.

Over the past several years, a demand for gluten-free food options has increased. In the Lutz area, there are a few restaurants that do offer gluten-free menu options.

According to Urbanspoon.com, the following eateries have gluten-free menu options:

• Organic Life Coffee House, 1900 Oak Grove Drive: Not only is this coffee house and cafe gluten-free friendly, it's also vegan friendly. They also offer live music and wi-fi. Check out their omelets and fresh baked goods.
• Splash! An Ocean Grill, 3973 Van Dyke Road: This seafood restaurant features a variety of shellfish, salads and appetizers (some of which can be prepared gluten-free). They serve brunch, lunch and dinner.
• Carrabba's Italian Grill, 16525 Pointe Village Drive: It's a chain that offers Gluten free options. Some of their favorites like steamed mussels and Chicken Bryan are available Gluten-free by request.

The folks at The Gathering Place, 16319 N. Florida Ave., in Lutz also confirm they have gluten-free options on the menu. While they don't have gluten-free pizza, sandwiches here can be turned into gluten-free wraps with ease and some salads and appetizers also fit the bill.
