Goodbye From A Lutz Patch Editor
Friday, March 29, will be Keli Sipperley's last day at Patch.

Dear Lutz Patch Readers,
A few nights ago, my son was playing in the semi-finals of a flag football game, and I was talking to a mom from the other team. It was windy, chilly and getting late; the team that won would play again immediately afterward. Though we wanted our kids to do the best they could and have fun, both of us agreed we'd really like to get home.
A win, she said, would be bittersweet.

Now, as I sit down to write my final post for Patch, that is what it feels like. I am making some changes in my career that will benefit my family and allow me the time to finish a few of the youth fiction projects I've had hanging in various stages for years now. Those poor characters, I often think, I've just left them in limbo wondering what in the world is to become of them. Poor kids!
This move, I feel, is a win for me.

At the same time, I've developed a connection to the community that I will miss greatly. You, as devoted Patch readers, have made it possible to share my favorite types of true stories to tell: those that show the compassion of the human spirit, the results of dedication to others and the importance of giving back. And of course, the kid profiles. Because kids are awesome.
Thank you for your support. I leave you in good hands, as John Majeski takes the helm of both the Lutz and Land O' Lakes Patch sites on Monday. He can be reached at john.majeski@patch.com.
Best,
Keli
