The 9-acre park property at U.S. 301 and County Road 54 was acquired by the city from the Pasco County School District in 2018.

The park was once home to a community swimming pool and bath house but was sold to the school district. Now that the city has taken possession of the property again, the redevelopment agency is seeking the public's opinion on the best way to use the park site, located adjacent to Zephyrhills High and Woodland Elementary schools.

Ideas range from maintaining the property as a passive park for residents with picnic tables and walking trails to a city showpiece with an outdoor event center, fountain and public art.
