Highway Patrol Seeks Car That Sideswiped Trooper's Patrol Vehicle
The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking information on a hit-and-run crash involving an FHP patrol SUV.

LUTZ, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking information on a hit-and-run crash involving an FHP patrol SUV.
According to troopers, at 11:39 a.m. Wednesday, a vehicle believed to be a gray-colored 2004-2009 Hyundai Sonata was traveling north on U.S. 41 at the intersection of State Road 54 while a marked patrol SUV was traveling east on State Road 54.
As the state trooper's SUV passed through the intersection, the car turned right and partially entered the center travel lane, sideswiping the patrol SUV.

Following the collision, the car turned right into the CVS parking lot at the corner of the intersection, circled the building, exited back onto U.S. 41, crossing over the raised median, then fled south on U.S.
