North Tampa Bay Chamber Of Commerce Re-Branded

LUTZ, FL – The chamber of commerce serving businesses in Wesley Chapel, Trinity, Odessa and northern Hillsborough County will now be known as the North Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce.

Formerly the Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce, the business group re-branded itself six months after it merged with the Greater Pasco Chamber of Commerce that served businesses in Trinity and Odessa.

The North Tampa Bay Chamber, with 830 members, is one of five chambers in Pasco County. West Pasco, Dade City, Zephyrhills and central Pasco— based in Lutz/Land O’Lakes – also have their own chambers of commerce.

"Understanding that enticing national and international businesses to explore and consider investing in our area requires a readily identifiable location and reflective of the inclusive nature of our organization, a new name for our chamber was selected,’’ Zack Kalarickal, chairman of the chamber’s board of directors.

The chamber board picked North Tampa Bay Chamber after consulting its own members and receiving a recommendation from a brand identity task force, Kalarickal said.

The new name comes 20 years after the Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce formed when educators and business representatives sought to build an identity in the burgeoning area and to bolster school-business partnerships. It absorbed the New Tampa Chamber of Commerce in 2014.

The former Trinity-Odessa chamber re-branded itself as the Greater Pasco chamber in 2016 in anticipation of merging with the Central Pasco chamber, but that affiliation never came to fruition. The group in Trinity began less than five years ago.
