Odessa Man Killed In Crash On SR 54, Black Lake Road

LUTZ, FL — A 52-year-old Odessa man died following an accident on State Road 54 and Black Lake Road Tuesday.

At 10:29 a.m., the Odessa man was driving a van west on SR 54 while a 17-year-old Odessa girl was driving an SUV east on SR 54.

At the intersection of Black Lake Road, the van turned south, crossing the eastbound lanes and entering the path of the SUV. The SUV hit the passenger side of the van and the driver died at the scene.

The 17-year-old sustained serious injuries.
