Snowcat Ridge Snow Park Closes For Season 2 Months Early
Over the weekend, Snowcat Ridge announced that it would close for the season on Monday, two months earlier than expected.

DADE CITY, FL — It's been a short season for Florida's newly opened snow park, Snowcat Ridge Alpine Snow Park in Dade City.
After hosting a grand opening Nov. 20, the snow park had a rocky start.
It was forced to limit its hours after discovering it couldn't produce enough snow for all the park's attractions, which include a snow globe where visitors can throw snowballs and create snowmen and a giant snow-sledding hill.

Then the snow park was briefly closed down in December by the Pasco County Fire Rescue and Building Construction Services for a number of code violations.
Over the weekend, Snowcat Ridge announced on its Facebook page that it would close for the season on Monday, two months earlier than anticipated.

The park didn't elaborate on the reason for closing. However, it assured visitors that it would reopen for a second season in November.
Snowcat Ridge is asking visitors to fill out a survey by Jan. 30 for a chance to win 12 unlimited tubing rides and general admission tickets to the park next season.
