Wesley Chapel Man Dies After Crashing Into Tree

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — A 48-year-old Wesley Chapel man has died following an accident on Quail Hollow Boulevard.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 6:47 p.m. Tuesday, the Wesley Chapel man was driving north on Quail Hollow Boulevard south of Sora Boulevard when a car driven by a 58-year-old Wesley Chapel man slowed to make a left turn into a private driveway.

The 48-year-old man attempted to pass the slowed car in a no-passing zone and struck the left side of the car as it turned into the driveway. The SUV driven by the 48-year-old man then collided with a tree.

He was taken to the hospital where he died. The other driver was not injured.
