Wesley Chapel Woman Arrested For Killing Woman In Scooter: Police
Nicole Marie Gennarini Cresswell, 24, told state troopers that she hit a deer. The 64-year-old woman in the scooter died from her injuries.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FLA — A 24-year-old Wesley Chapel woman was arrested after she struck and killed a woman in a mobility scooter and then left the scene of the accident Tuesday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Nicole Marie Gennarini Cresswell was arrested just before midnight, more than six hours after police said she hit the 64-year-old woman who was in a scooter getting her mail in the 27000 block of Robin Roost Lane, police said.
The victim, who has not been identified, was in the scooter checking her mail on the side of the road when she was struck by a gray 2019 Nissan Sentra, police said. Troopers said in a news release that they found Gennarini Cresswell in the 8200 block of Shenandoah Run.

The woman told troopers that she had struck a deer with her car earlier in the day, but could not tell police where the accident occurred, News Channel 8 reported. She is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident that caused a death, police said.
