Winn-Dixie Offering $5 Hams

Tampa Bay area residents who prefer ham over turkey on Thanksgiving Day may want to set a course for their local Winn-Dixie store.

The grocery chain has announced it is offering $5 hams through Thanksgiving Day. As it was with last week’s $5 turkey promotion, there are a few caveats attached to the special. Shoppers must first spend $30 on groceries to be eligible to pick out a Hickory Sweet or Smithfield smoked ham shank or butt portion of any size and any weight. The $30 doesn’t include purchases of alcohol, tobacco, money orders and a few other items.

The ham deal is good while supplies last or until 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 26. That’s when local Winn-Dixie stores plan to shut down for the holiday.
