"Some of the benefits of a Florida-Friendly landscape are a sense of place, reduced consumption of resources, and helping to maintain our resources," said Bruce Turley, a professional landscape designer, in a press release about the awards.
Residents, businesses, builders and other organizations in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties as well as the cities of Tampa, St. Petersburg and New Port Richey are eligible to apply.The deadline is June 30.Â
Winners receive a custom 2013 Water-Wise landscape stepping stone during an award ceremony presented by government officials.
