78-Year-Old New Port Richey Man Killed In Crash On Moon Lake Road
Troopers said the crash was caused by a 32-year-old New Port Richey woman who ran a red light.
NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 78-year-old New Port Richey man has died following an accident Sunday on Moon Lake Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 10:15 a.m., a 32-year-old New Port Richey woman was driving an SUV north on Moon Lake Road, south of Terra Ceia Avenue, when she failed to stop for a red traffic signal just as the 78-year-old man was turning left from westbound Terra Ceia Avenue.
Troopers said the SUV struck the left side of the car.

The 78-year-old man was taken to the hospital where he died.
The 32-year-old woman sustained minor injuries.
