Holiday Motorcyclist Killed; Passenger Seriously Injured

A 48-year-old motorcyclist from Holiday has died following an accident Sunday on Rowan Road.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — A 48-year-old motorcyclist from Holiday has died following an accident Sunday on Rowan Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, just before midnight, the motorcyclist was heading south on Rowan Road approaching Notre Dame Drive when he failed to negotiate a curve on the road and entered the northbound lane, colliding nearly head on with a car driven by a 27-year-old St. Petersburg man.

The motorcyclist and his passenger, a 50-year-old Hudson woman, sustained serious injuries and were taken to the hospital where the Holiday man died.
