Check Your Voter Registration Online

Be sure to check your voter registration and party affiliation if you plan to vote in the upcoming House District 36 primary.

Do you plan to vote in the upcoming primary race for House District 36? If so, you'll need to make sure your party affiliation and registration is accurate no later than Monday Aug. 19 if you plan to vote in the race on Sept. 17.

Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley announced this week that the books will close on Monday for anyone within the district wishing to change their political
party affiliation, according to a press release issued by his office.

The District 36 race covers west Pasco County. The district is up for new representation due to a vacancy created by the resignation of Representative Mike Fasano upon his appointment as Pasco County Tax Collector.

Republican Bill Gunter, a pastor who lost a 2012 bid for the Pasco County Commission, has stepped forward as a candidate to replace Fasano, according to this Tampa Bay Times story.

To check your registration status or report an address change or change in political party go to the Pasco Supervisor of Elections web site.
