Deputies Shoot Hudson Man Accused Of Stabbing Woman 15 Times
"It almost looked like a horror movie where somebody has that much blood all over them," Sheriff Chris Nocco said.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the fatal shooting of a man by Pasco County sheriff's deputies Sunday during a domestic violence incident.
Around 1:20 p.m. Sunday, Pasco sheriff's deputies were called to the Hicks Road/Akers Lane area of Hudson. When they entered the home, they found a man identified as Russell Lindemeyer, 49, inside a bedroom holding a woman hostage with a knife at her throat.
There were several witnesses in the house, but they had not intervened.

The woman and Lindemeyer were in a close relationship, said Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco. Before deputies arrived, she had been stabbed more than 15 times. She later told deputies that she had been held against her will all day.

Deputies ordered Lindemeyer to drop the knife multiple times. Instead, Lindemeyer made another move to stab the woman who was already in critical condition. The two deputies fired their guns at Lindemeyer to prevent him from stabbing the woman again.
Deputies provided aid to the woman who was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert due to the severity of her stab wounds.
Because the shooting involved law enforcement officers, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is taking the lead in the investigation.
Nocco said Lindemeyer has a previous history of domestic violence arrests.
