Flood Watch Extended Again

More heavy rain is on the way for a few Tampa Bay area counties.

Residents in Pasco, Hillsborough and Pinellas counties are being warned to keep those hatches battened down a little longer as more heavy rain is anticipated over the next few days.

With that in mind, the National Weather Service has extended its flood watch for those three counties, along with Hernando, through 8 p.m. Wednesday.

“Saturated soils and the potential for additional heavy rainfall through this evening will continue the threat of flooding for the coastal counties from Pinellas and Hillsborough counties north,” the agency wrote in its advisory.
