Fratelli's, Ollies On The Beach Cited For Inspection Violations

PASCO COUNTY, FL — The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation said 40 out of 148 restaurants inspected in Pasco County this month failed their first inspections. However, some had worse violations than others.

Ho Wok Chinese, 1223 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Wesley Chapel, was cited for 22 violations including storing a bottle of pills next to canned soy, oyster and hoisin sauce; having four dented cans of hoisin sauce and three dented cans of oyster sauce; and not sanitizing surfaces after cleaning.

Fratelli's South, 5327 Village Market, Wesley Chapel, received a warning for 16 violations including live roaches found in the food prep area, food surfaces not sanitized after cleaning; and failure to place dates on stored food.

Mermaids Lounge & Eatery, 11024 State Road 52, Hudson, received a warning for 16 violations including adding restaurant seating without septic system approval; romaine lettuce with mold-like growth; and food stores at improper temperatures.

900 Degrees Wood-Fired Pizza, 28152 Paseo Drive, Wesley Chapel, was cited for 19 violations including storing food at improper temperatures and storing containers of dough on the floor of the walk-in cooler.

Ollies on the Beach, 6438 Clark St., Hudson, received a warning for 13 violations including the presence of flies in the kitchen and bar area; storing raw shrimp over leafy greens; and placing a jug of bleach on top of an air fryer.

All violations have been corrected.

The DBPR noted that 25 restaurants passed their first inspections with no violations including Spinnations, 8345 Congress St., Port Richey; Frankie's Raw Bar, 4903 State Road 54, Port Richey; and Robert's Smokin' BBQ, 7810 U.S. 19, Port Richey.
