Grillsmith, Susie's Family Restaurant Cited By Health Inspectors
Soiled freezer shelves, cold food left on counters and utensils improperly air-dried are some of the violations found at Pasco restaurants.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – Soiled freezer shelves, cold food left on counters and utensils not properly air-dried are some of the violations that Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation inspectors found at Pasco County restaurants.
Susie's Family Restaurant, 6476 Ridge Road, Port Richey, was cited for 20 violations on Feb. 8. Among them were a soiled dry wiping cloth in use, stored food not covered in walk-in cooler, cold food left on a counter at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit, encrusted material on can opener blade, and gaskets in a walk-in cooler and reach-in freezer with slimy/mold-like buildup.
Breakfast Station, 7335 Little Road, New Port Richey, was cited for 13 violations, including raw bacon stored in a box with unwashed oranges; cooked meats held at less than 135 degrees Fahrenheit or above; and shelf under preparation table soiled with food debris.

Anthony's Italian Cuisine, 8809 Mitchell Blvd, Trinity, was cited for 11 violations, including raw chicken stored over ready-to-eat food; accumulation of black/green mold-like substance in ice machine; spray bottle of chemical stored over sink next to clean dishes; and cold chicken wings stored on a counter, at 76°F.
Grillsmith, 2000 Piazza Ave, Unit 100, Bldg 4, Wesley Chapel, was cited for 27 violations, including an accumulation of food debris/grease on outside of dry storage containers; soda gun holster with accumulated slime/debris; equipment and utensils not properly air-dried - wet nesting; walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer shelves soiled with encrusted food debris; and cold food (sour cream) held at greater than 41 degrees F.

In the last 30 days, 51 Pasco County restaurants did not pass the first inspection while 79 restaurants aced the first visit.
The inspectors made note of five Pasco County restaurants that passed inspections without any violations: Blaze Pizza #1334, 25456 Sierra Center Blvd. Ste A3, Lutz; Burger King, Sr 52 At Pasco Rd, San Antonio; D&R Specialty Hot Dogs & More, 32412 Silvercreek Way, Wesley Chapel; Dave's Takeout, 34928 Hawkiowa Road, Dade City; and Patriots Dogs, 2352 Bruce B Downs Blvd Ste 105, Wesley Chapel.
