Hanging Body an Apparent Suicide

The New Port Richey Police Department is investigating a body found hanging in a wooded area at the corner of High Street and George Street.

The body, found Aug. 13, has been identified as that of Randy Horishny, 46, according to an email from the police department. It appears the death was a suicide. The email said family told police that Horishny suffered from drug addiction for a number of years. 

The body has been taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office for investigation.
