Hudson Library To Present Live Civil War History Display

Pasco County Libraries is partnering with local Civil War re-enactors to create a free, educational history exhibit.

HUDSON, FL ---- Pasco County Libraries is partnering with local Civil War re-enactors to create a free, educational and entertaining walk-through exhibit at the Hudson Regional Library, 8012 Library Road, Hudson.

The event will take place Saturday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Local historical interpreters will answer questions and provide demonstrations of 19th-century life during the self-guided tour.

“This is a unique opportunity to walk through living history and engage with knowledgeable and entertaining re-enactors,” said Pasco Libraries public communications specialist Bob Harrison. “Kids, families and history enthusiasts alike will enjoy this experience.”

Union and Confederate military and camp life displays will include a life-size tent, weapon reproductions and soldiers’ gear. Life on the home front will be represented with sewing and other exhibits.
