‘Kylie’s Daddy’ Earns Pasco Teen Music Industry Buzz

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 16-year-old New Port Richey girl with a passion for music found herself catapulted into the spotlight over the past few days following the release of “Kylie’s Daddy.” The tune, a love song to Kylie Jenner, features 22 Savage, Ziggy and teen sisters Iliana Eve and DJ Hannahbella.
DJ Hannahbella might be better known to the kids at J.W. Mitchell High School as Hannah Lynn Nelson-Hay. While Hay is an ordinary high school sophomore during the day, she becomes DJ Hannahbella in her off time, according to her father and co-producer Jonathan Hay, who also appears on the single.

Hannah’s love affair with music began around the age of 7, she told Patch.
“I always wanted a new instrument and discovered different sounds with my ears,” she said. “Music was there when no one (else was). As cliché as that sounds, it helped me. It helped me when I was dealing with built up emotions. It helped me with everything.”

Johnathan Hay says his daughter’s skills as a DJ are rooted in old-school style.
“She’s a DJ who actually cuts and scratches on turntables and helps me produce all the music,” he said. “She’s involved in all the creative direction and she helped come up with the concept of ‘Kylie’s Daddy.’”
Hannah and her sister Iliana Eve, 14, have their own debut album on the way. “Daddy Issues,” features both girls and was recorded at a home in Dunedin and a Hilton hotel in the New Port Richey area.
“Kylie’s Daddy” was released amid rumors of a split between Jenner and her on-again, off-again boyfriend Tyga, ENews reported. The track with 22 Savage will be on the sisters’ debut album, TMZ noted.
Just how soon “Daddy Issues” will drop is unclear, but Jonathan Hay said it will likely be “close to the summer so they could actually tour it.” “Kylie’s Daddy,” however, is currently available as a single on iTunes and Spotify.

As for Hannah, she’s pretty excited about all the buzz “Kylie’s Daddy” has been getting.
“It took a lot of work and time and effort and I think everyone involved in the song deserves all the attention it's getting,” Hannah said. “Attention is just another form of appreciation. Producing the song was hard, I will admit it was a challenge, and I know it was hard for my sister to sing over and over again until we got it exactly right."
While high school graduation is still a few years off, Hannah knows exactly what she wants to be doing in the future.
“I know I will continue producing songs and spinning the tracks and making beats with my sister,” she said.
