A Love Letter To Pete Blum

To celebrate Valentine's Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Brenda Johnson's love letter to her special someone, Pete:

To my true love, my Valentine, Pete Blum,

We met unexpectedly and not under the best circumstances. You were a widow, and I was going through a divorce. We began talking online and helping each other when times got rough, but we’d never met. We lived over a thousand miles away from each other. You wanted me to visit Florida, but it's so far away from Illinois so there was no way I was going to do that.

You persisted in asking me to visit until finally one day I just got in the car and started driving. We've been together for three-and-a-half years now, and I love you more every single day. I can't wait to become your wife. Thank you for putting all my broken pieces back together. You are simply the BEST!

I'll love you forever and always and no matter what!
