Man Accused Of Drunk Driving After Crashing Into Patrol Car
A man has been accused of driving drunk after running into a marked New Port Richey patrol car Tuesday night.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A man has been accused of driving drunk after running into a marked New Port Richey patrol car Tuesday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the New Port Richey police officer was driving along Congress Street just south of Massachusetts Avenue when the driver of a Dodge Avenger failed to stop for traffic and hit the rear of the patrol car.
Troopers said the driver of the Dodge Avenger, Kevin Lee Buchanan, 44, refused to provide a breath sample. He was charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

His license had been revoked for two previous DUI convictions.
Both the police officer and Buchanan suffered minor injuries.
