From Marker 48: Marker 48 Brewing just announced that it is taking the next step to put its delicious beer into the hands of its fans and craft beer lovers on Florida’s Nature Coast by releasing its first canned brew.

Working in conjunction with IronHeart Canning Co., which provides its mobile canning services to breweries throughout the Eastern, Midwest and Southeast United States, the Weeki Wachee brewery’s first cans will be its Centralia Logger, a light American lager (4.2% alcohol by volume. 28 IBU).

“It’s taken three years to get to this point,” said Marker 48 co-founder Tina Ryman in announcing the project during a Facebook Live video on Friday, March 15.

The description on the can reads: “This light American lager brings all the things you love in a lager right to your mouth. Crisp, clean, and delicious. It pairs perfectly with hiking, boating or kicking back by the pool.”

Cans will be available for purchase in the taproom at 12147 Cortez Blvd. beginning Friday and throughout the brewery’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend celebrations, while supplies last. The cost is $14 per four-pack of 16-oz. cans.
