Nearly 60,000 People Now Vaccinated In Pasco County
Medical and dental practices wishing to get employees vaccinated should fill out a survey provided by the Pasco Department of Health.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — The Pasco County Department of Health announced that it has now vaccinated 59,313 people as of Monday.
According to the DOH-Pasco, 34,879 people have received their first dose and 24,446 people have completed their second dose.
Vaccinations For Dental, Medical Staff
Additionally, DOH-Pasco is expanding its outreach efforts to dental and medical offices that are not affiliated with hospitals. Practice managers are asked to complete a survey for staff who want to receive the vaccine. The survey will close on Friday, Feb.26.

This information will be used to assess interest and identify who wants to receive a vaccination. Each practice should assign a point of contact to complete the survey. The DOH-Pasco will follow up with information for how staff can get vaccinated.
DOH-Pasco does not yet have a time frame for when the vaccine will be offered to health care providers that complete the survey.

Once the assessment is complete, the DOH-Pasco will establish the best method to provide vaccinations to the health care providers who qualify.
Health care workers will be required to present an employee ID or other proof of employment in the health care field.
County-Run Vaccination Clinics
DOH-Pasco continues to use CDR Maguire Health and Medical to schedule residents for coronavirus vaccines.
Residents can go online to the patientportalfl.com or call 1-844-770-8548 to create an account at any time. But appointments are only available at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The DOH-Pasco vaccination sites do not show up on the CDR Maguire Patient Portal unless appointments are available.
Drive-thru vaccination clinics are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Saint Leo University and Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the former Sears at Gulf View Square mall in Port Richey.
Those who have an appointment to receive a second dose should bring a photo ID, the vaccination card they were given when they received their first dose and the QR code with the date and time for the second appointment.
Those who received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine through DOH-Pasco 28 days ago or more and has not received or missed an appointment for their second dose should go to the same location where they received their first dose with an ID and vaccination card. No appointment is needed.
Targeting Retirement Communities
Pasco County is also targeting retirement communities for vaccination clinics. Over the past several weeks, Pasco County Emergency Management has coordinated the distribution of 8,721 vaccines to people age 65 and up living in retirement communities. Residents of retirement communities will be notified directly when a clinic takes place in their community.
Other Sources For Vaccinations
Publix is now offering vaccines at 19 locations in Pasco County. Winn-Dixie and Walmart are also offering vaccines as they receive new shipments. Residents can go directly to the coronavirus websites for each of the providers to schedule an appointment.
Patients of the following hospitals and health care clinics can make appointments to receive vaccines directly through the hospital or clinic.

- James A. Haley Veterans Hospital
- Suncoast Community Health
- Tampa General Hospital
- USF Health

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has directed the Florida Department of Health and the Florida Division of Emergency Management to coordinate with the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs to identify veterans of World War II and the Korean War who are unable to travel to receive a vaccine.
