Nearly Naked Woman Arrested After High-Speed Chase Along I-75

A Plant City woman is behind bars Saturday after being accused of leading troopers on a high-speed chase ​while driving nearly naked.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — A Plant City woman is behind bars Saturday after the Florida Highway Patrol said she led troopers on a high-speed chase while driving nearly naked down Interstate 75 through Pasco County in a stolen car.

On Saturday just after 10 a.m., the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office issued an alert regarding a stolen vehicle traveling south on Interstate 75 in Sumter County.

Troopers spotted the stolen 2009 Cadillac sedan on I-75 in Hernando County and attempted a traffic stop, but the car fled from troopers, reaching speeds of more than 110 mph while changing lanes and passing other cars on the shoulder of the road.

The car eventually exited the highway onto State Road 52 west in Pasco County where troopers used a device to deflate the car's tired and force it to stop.

They took the driver who was wearing nearly no clothes, Rachael Lynn Stefancich, 24, into custody.

She was charged with grand theft auto, reckless driving, fleeing and eluding, possession of methamphetamine and driving while her license was suspended.

Stefancich was later delivered to the Hernando County Jail.
