New Advocate Health Advisors Office to Help Seniors with Medicare

Advocate Health Advisors has opened its first Tampa Bay office in New Port Richey. The national insurance brokerage is bringing its services closer to home for Tampa Bay residents seeking help making choices about Medicare Advantage healthcare plans.

Advocate Health Advisors agents are Medicare experts who serve as trusted advisors for those who are Medicare eligible and specialize in helping those turning 65. The company has agents in all 50 states and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

“We’re looking forward to being able to serve our Tampa Bay neighbors. Medicare plans are not one size fits all, and we want to be sure our clients are getting the right combination of caregivers and drug coverage that they can afford,” said Mitch Berg, Advocate Health Advisors regional manager for West Florida.

The location will be convenient for seniors and their loved ones during Medicare’s annual enrollment period, which runs through Dec. 7. During this window, all Medicare enrollees can change their health plans and prescription drug coverage for the following year.

Throughout the year, residents will be able to get assistance from licensed agents at the New Port Richey location when they become eligible for Medicare Advantage plans. Medicare Advantage plans, offered by private health insurance companies, combine a person’s Medicare benefits with a Part D prescription plan. The plans also offer additional benefits above and beyond what is available with Original Medicare, such as dental, vision, hearing coverage and more.

Advocate Health Advisors agents also specialize in helping veterans with navigating VA benefits and Medicare through its Veterans Initiative Program.
