New Port Richey Invites Residents Home For The Holidays
To light the way into the holidays, business owners and residents decorated more than 100 Christmas trees along the walkways at Sims Park.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — To light the way into the holidays, business owners and residents have decorated more than 100 Christmas trees along the walkways at Sims Park to benefit families in need. They were lit up during the city's tree-lighting ceremony Dec. 6. Some of the trees will then be donated to families that can't afford a Christmas tree this year.
Residents Regan Weiss and Joey Deeb came up with the socially distant fundraiser after the city's traditional parade and other holiday festivities were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Through their charity, The Hublife Charities, the duo have had more than 100 trees sponsored and decorated for $200 each.
