Pasco Residents Urged To Stay Indoors, Sandbag Stations Open
Due to potential heavy rains, Pasco County and the city of New Port Richey opened sandbag stations.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — After declaring a state of emergency, Pasco County Emergency Management is monitoring conditions and responding, as necessary, to any issues that might arise.
Pasco County is not issuing any evacuation orders or opening shelters at this time; however, if you are in a low-lying or coastal area and would like to leave, consider staying with family, friends or at a local hotel further inland.
The Department of Emergency Management is urging residents to stay home and shelter in place Wednesday night as Eta moves onshore. Only leave if you have to, and do not drive or walk through floodwaters.

The Emergency Operations Center is operating with limited staffing overnight to monitor conditions and respond to issues, as necessary. Emergency crews will be responding to calls for service throughout the night. If you have an emergency, call 911.
Pasco County now has an online portal to report non-emergency storm damage. Visit MyPasco.net or you can complete the form by clicking here. Pasco County Customer Service will reopen for regular business hours Thursday at 8 a.m.

All Pasco County government offices and services will be open for regular business hours Thursday with the following exceptions:
All Pasco County parks will be open Thursday; however, some openings could be delayed due to storm debris clean-up efforts.
Pasco County libraries will open Thursday at noon.
Pasco County Public Transportation services are expected to resume Thursday as long as road conditions are safe to do so.
Pasco County schools will be closed Thursday and are expected to reopen Friday.
The Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller will be closed Thursday.
Both the city of New Port Richey and Pasco County has opened self-serve sandbag stations to help residents protect their property from potential flooding.
Sand and sandbags will be available at the New Port Richey self-service station at 6420 Pine Hill Road from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. throughout the week. This service is for New Port Richey residents only. Residents must show proof of city residency and bring their own shovel.

- Magnolia Valley Golf Course: 7223 Massachusetts Ave., New Port Richey
- Pasco Fire Rescue Station 17: 2951 Seven Springs Blvd., New Port Richey
- Veterans Memorial Park: 14333 Hicks Road, Hudson
- Wesley Chapel Park: 7727 Boyette Road, Wesley Chapel
- Land O’ Lakes Recreation Center: 3032 Collier Parkway, Land O’ Lakes
- Pasco County Fire Station #24: 14317 4th St., Dade City
Sandbag locations are self-serve and are open 24 hours to Pasco County residents. You should bring a shovel and be prepared to fill your own sandbag.
