New Port Richey Pumpkin Patch Guide, Weekend Weather Forecast

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Pumpkins are showing up at grocery stores and roadside stands as Halloween creeps closer. If your family has a visit planned to a local pumpkin patch in the New Port Richey area, we have a list of stands open in the area. And here's a look at the weekend weather forecast to help you plan your trip.

Friday night is your best bet for pumpkin hunting. The temperature should be around 75 degrees with 80 percent humidity. There will be a few clouds but no rain predicted.

A visit to the pumpkin patch Saturday morning is also a possibility. There's a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms, but they're expected to hold off until the afternoon. The temperature will rise to 89 degrees with 72 percent humidity.

There may be some thunderstorms off and on Sunday but, overall, it should be a nice day to visit a pumpkin patch with light winds and temperatures reaching 76 degrees with 86 percent humidity.
In many cases, coronavirus precautions have merely changed — not shut down — area pumpkin patches and their entertainment options.

Below is a list of some of our favorite pumpkin patches near New Port Richey:

• Blueberry Blessings, 13725 Family Trail, Hudson, will host its pumpkin patch Tuesday through Sunday through October from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• The Sweet Fields Farm Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch, 17250 Benes Roush Road, Masaryktown, is open weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Nov. 8.
• The Pumpkin Patch at The Grove at Wesley Chapel will take place Oct. 10-31 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends and 4 to 9 p.m. weekdays. Pumpkins, squashes and gourdes range in price from $1 to $15. Hay bales and corn stalks will be available as well.
