PASCO COUNTY, FL — The Department of Health in Pasco County announced that it has decided not to use the state-run system for vaccine registration at this time and continue to use the current enrollment process with CDR Maguire Health and Medical.

This means Pasco seniors age 65 and over who have enrolled with the CDR Maguire Patient Portal do not need to enroll in the new state system, said the DOH-Pasco in a news release.

All appointments for the week of Feb. 1 have been filled at this time. The DOH-Pasco will send out a notice when registrations reopen for the following week. The demand for vaccines remains greater than the supply, so appointments fill quickly. Be prepared and be patient.

The state of Florida released information about a separate registration system at my vaccine.fl.gov. This website is independent of sign-ups available for Pasco County vaccination appointments.

Registering at the state site does not replace signing up at the CDR Maguire Patient Portal.

If you also wish to sign up at the state's myvaccine.fl.gov. website, it's optional, but it will not get you an appointment in Pasco County because the myvaccine.fl.gov system is not yet in use in Pasco County.

There will be 1,000 appointments available at the Gulfview Square Mall on Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. is only for second dose appointments at the Gulfview Square Mall (reserved for those who received their first dose Jan. 5-8).

First dose appointments will not be given on this day.

Those who need a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine should receive an email from CDRM Health No-Reply: no-reply@cdrmhealth.com or noreply@salesforce.com on or before Monday, Feb. 1. If you don't see it, check your spam folder.

Before making a vaccination appointment, anyone 65 and older who needs the COVID-19 vaccination must go to patientportalfl.com or call 1-844-770-8548 and create an account with CDR Maguire: Health & Medical (CDR Maguire). It is required to have an account with CDR Maguire to register for a vaccination appointment. If the online patient portal was used to register for an appointment (instead of calling), those people should bring a printed or digital copy of the confirmation email they received containing a QR code.

Other Ways To Be Vaccinated

Residents should also be aware that local hospitals, doctor's offices, pharmacies, churches and retirement communities are receiving limited doses of vaccine. DOH-Pasco encourages residents to reach out to them as well.

For those willing to travel outside Pasco County to receive a vaccine, the state has posted a Vaccine Finder that allows those seeking a vaccine to type in the city or county in which they wish to travel to see if vaccines are available.

Testing Reminder

The DOH-Pasco has reduced COVID-19 drive-thru testing to three days per week. Testing will only be provided at Sears in the Gulfview Square Mall on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Testing is not provided at Saint Leo University.
