Through a SWOT analysis the county can identify:
- Strengths: Internal elements that give an edge or competitive advantage. These can be unique assets, skills or resources that can benefit the county.
- Weaknesses: Internal elements that hinder the ability to reach optimal performance and prevent the county from reaching its goals. The goal is to make improvements to these.
- Opportunities: External circumstances and potential situations that can be used or exploited to benefit the county. They are beyond the county's control but the county can make the most of them.
- Threats: External circumstances that pose a threat to the current or future ability to achieve and must be mitigated for these potentially damaging effects.
Additionally, after a brief pause for the pandemic, Pasco County is conducting its annual Citizen Survey through Friday, Nov. 6. The county is seeking input to help shape the future of Pasco County as it focuses on fostering thriving, resilient communities and opportunities for residents and visitors alike.
