Pasco County Reopens 4 More Parks

Pasco County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources has reopened four more parks for limited recreational activities.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — Pasco County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources has reopened four more parks to allow residents to participate in limited recreational activities.

Under Gov. Ron DeSantis' Phase 1: Safe. Smart. Step-by-Step. Plan for Florida's recovery, social distancing and gathering guidelines remain in place. Groups of more than 10 will not be permitted, and social distancing of 6 feet remains necessary to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus 19.

Additional limited access openings include walking and fitness trails, open space areas (excluding athletic fields), outdoor tennis courts and outdoor basketball courts at the following facilities:

  • Land O' Lakes Heritage Park, Land O' Lakes
  • San Antonio Athletic Complex, San Antonio
  • Veteran's Memorial Park, Hudson
  • Wesley Chapel District Park, Wesley Chapel

All athletic fields, playgrounds, shelters and pavilions remain closed until further notice.

County officials are continuing to explore options to safely offer summer day camp. If camp is offered this summer, it will likely be at a reduced capacity with limited space. County officials expect to make a decision within the next two weeks.
