Pasco EcoFest: Calling Volunteers and Sponsors

The event will celebrate all things "green" in Pasco.

Are you interested in eco-sustainability and how Pasco County can help protect the environment?

Pasco County's EcoFest 2013 wants to hear from you. The event takes place on November 8-10. As the event approaches, volunteers are currently meeting monthly at the New Port Richey Public Library. Each volunteer brings his or her own personal and professional skills and creativity to the table, helping to shape this event into one that reflects the character of the community, according to a press release issued by the county about EcoFest.

"We're really excited about the enthusiasm we're seeing from people we talk to about this event,"  says co-manager Kira Atkinson. "It’s nice to know there are so many like-minded people living in this area who want to get involved in making Pasco an awesome place to live."

Pasco EcoFest 2013 will span three days at two different locations—Sims Park and Starkey Park. The park's natural environment will be on display through kayak rides, nature walks and interactive exhibits and talks. Yoga workshops, an art show and more will be showcased during the three days.

Sponsorships opportunities are available for businesses and organizations, large and small that wish to get involved in the event. The event managers are also seeking green businesses or businesses who offer green products and services to partner with for this event.
