Pasco Hosting Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Event
Pasco County Utilities will also collect electronic waste during the event.

NEW PORT RICHEY, -- While the holiday season is often a time of out with the old, in with the new, Pasco County is helping its residents take care of the “old,” especially with electronics and household waste.
Pasco County Utilities will host a Household Hazardous Waste drop-off event on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at the Pasco County Public Works Building, 7536 State St., New Port Richey, on the West Pasco Government Center campus.
Pasco County residents also can drop off unwanted electronics during the mobile collection event.

“Removing household hazardous waste and electronics from the solid waste stream helps protect the environment and improves Pasco County residents’ quality of life,” said Alicia Hacker, Pasco County Utilities inspector. “The mobile collection is an inexpensive, convenient way to properly dispose of hazardous waste.”
While the event is free for Pasco County residents, the county will charge $5 for televisions, computer monitors, computer towers and laptops. Pasco County will charge $10 for televisions 36 inches and larger.
