Pasco Pride To Host 1st Festival To Celebrate Diversity Oct. 6

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL –The first Pasco Pride festival is scheduled to take place in Sims Park, 6341 Bank St., New Port Richey, Saturday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The festival is intended to celebrate Pasco County’s diversity with the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
It will include live music with Bad Rabbit and the Julie Black Band, a disc jockey, vendors, artists, face painting, balloon artists, drag queens and kings along with the crowning of Miss Pasco Pride 2018.

New Port Richey downtown merchants will offer drink and food specials. And commemorative T-shirts, hats and programs will be available.
According to Pasco Pride founder Denise Johnson, the organization seeks to unite Pasco County’s diverse community and foster communication, tolerance, education and support among all residents.

Johnson said the day-long event will be family friendly and will feature a march around the park’s Orange Lake.
